WHAT DO TEACHERS SAY ABOUT THESE MATERIALS?
We are teaching the unit on Obesity [Should We Worry About What We Eat?], and when the class ended, almost all of the students begged us to continue. They are really enjoying it. Isn't that half the battle, having our students especially sped students, enjoy writing??????

Some of these mini-units have been developed by the National Writing Project's i3 College Ready Writers Program (funded by the U.S. Department of Education) leadership team and field-tested at a variety of schools across the country, with subsequent revisions improving the quality each time. You'll find several additional mini-units and resources at
https://sites.google.com/site/1516nwpcrwp/home.
Other mini-units on this website have been created by the Kentucky Writing Project RSPDI team using NWP CRWP frameworks and principles for mini-units. A few have been developed by teacher participants in the RSPDI using our templates.
Elementary, ESL, and Special Needs Teachers: Be sure to check out the Primary tab. Some mini-units have replacement texts for use with older students.
